Funny thing happened while driving today........

100000mi.jpg

Had 6 miles on it when I bought it. Man, what a long, strange trip it's been!!! Couldn't be happier with my little 4banger TJ. Factory clutch still going strong, would still be on the factory brakes but I had a bad caliper that ate up the passenger-side rotor (driver's side pads had plenty of miles left), no major issues other than the normal (plugs, wires, O2 sensors).

KBB says average miles for an '03 Wrangler = 59,000............guess I like to drive a little more than "average"!

Now, if only our future Willys wagon will treat us this good.......................

My '05 F250 hit 50k today. Just going by the average MPG on the dash (14 MPG), that means I have put 3,571 gallons of diesel through it. Estimated cost of fuel would be between $7600 and $8000.

I wish I had my camera or something when mine flipped over 100,000... Ah well... Guess I'll have to wait till I lap it :D

Quick story - I bought my first car when I turned 16. It just BARELY had 50k miles on it. Fast forward 3 years. I'm in college. The car has about 99,88xk on the clock. It's a Friday, and I'm driving home to my my parents, about 100 miles away. I figured I'd hit 100k on the way home or at the very least, sometime that weekend and I wanted to take pictures for posterity. Well, I drive home and as I roll up to my parents house the odometer read 99,998. I would've just driven around the block a few times but I really needed to take a leak. So I go inside and figure I'll just go for a nice drive later to break the 100k mark. So 3-4 hours later I run out and hop in the car. I get the camera ready and I glance at the odometer, which now reads 100,003. My sister then walks up and tells me that she needed to run to the store so she borrowed my car and she hopes that I didn't mind :(.

And my 03 only has ~40k. Of course I bought it with 31k so only part a small part of that is mine.

I bought my 04 in Oct of 03 and It only has 24,000. I guess about 11 more years and I'll get to 100k.

My first vehicle with a Ford 8.8 rear axle is about to turnover 250,000.

I dearly love my Jeep, but I really appreciate my Ford Ranger!
