I don't know how many of you are MMA fans (I know I've posted threads on this before) but did any of you catch the PrideFC show on Saturday? It's Pride's first US show. It was AWESOME!!!

For those of you that might not be familiar, Pride FC is what UFC wishes it was. The athletes are more talented, get paid more, and are more famous internationally. They are just now breaking into the US market.

If you've heard of Mirko Cro-cop, Fedor Emelianenko, Wanderlei Silva, Gomi, then you know what I'm talking about. UFC for example, just recently had Anderson Silva beat Rich Franklin for the Middleweight Championship. Silva couldn't hack it in Pride, and had to go to the UFC.

Here's some knockouts by the 2 best in the world, Fedor, Cro-Cop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iiRNRou9J4

I've seen plenty of UFC fights on tv and PPV, but never seen a Pride fight. My old neighbor always had them on and I'd watch them from time to time. From what I hear it makes UFC look like their minor league.

A guy I work with has started to get into this stuff at a professional level. It's hard to sya how he'll do, but he seems to have what it takes... maybe we'll all see Titus fight one day.

6' 145 pounds last person i whooped was 6'3 250... do i have what it takes? Where do i put my signature?

I'll have to check that out, Mingez. I liked the old UFC, back when the Gracie Gang was fighting, back before this 3 round crap. Back then, they got in the Octagon and fought till one was out or submitted.

From what I hear it makes UFC look like their minor league.

I will say this however, Chuck Liddell is worthy of fighting in Pride (and he did BTW and got TKO'd by Rampage Jackson). However, with his knock out power he CAN beat Wanderlei Silva (although unlikely). They are pretty evenly matched. Silva possesses the same heavy hands, but 2x the skill, and if they fought 10 times he'd win 7 times out of 10.

The only class I think that over all UFC is probably evenly stacked is in the Middlewieght category/ At 156 - 170 lb Matt Hughes, BJ Penn, George St. Pierre, Karo Parysian, Diego Sanchez, are pretty tough. But I still think that Dan Henderson, Misaki, and Kang would take them.

But Heavy Weights, Light Weights, and Middleweights in Pride would destroy anyone in that class in the UFC. It'd be a boat race. In fact, the top 7 Pride heavyweights are better than the UFC heavyweight champ (Tim Silvia)

Fedor, is the toughest man alive...I'm convinced of it. (he looks like he should be your neighbor, riding a mower, but that guy could kill you anytime he wanted to)
