Marine cure for cyclinder head !

I loved my elderly Cherokee but spent a small fortune having the cylinder head fixed - new stretch bolts etc.but all to no avail.Water still poured out.The garage got a roasting for wasting my money - lots of it - and so stung by my wrath ( I am female !)they used a marine sealant to good effect. As he said they cannot always change cyclinder heads at sea.Hope it lasts.
Happy motoring from snow in Scotland.

seems to me like a half a** way to put a band aid over the actual problem to make you happy.

Did they use a product called "Marine Tex"?? (look at marinetex dot com) I have used it for all sorts of different types of repairs and even had a friend who used it sandwiched between layers of aluminum foil to repair a fender on an old Lincoln. It is indeed something to keep in the garage for times when conventional thinking doesn't work..

Enjoy the weather...
