looking for info on t-19

can anyone tell me if the t-19 from a waggy 360 is any good? what are the plus and downfalls of this transmission. i belevie it has a bul low but it is 4.0 to one as oppose to the t-18's 6 to one. Is the t-19 a heavy duty transmission? reason i ask is that i can get a amc 360 with a t-19 for pretty cheap and i may go with the 360 instead of my planned 350sbc. any info would be greatly appreciated.

also what chevy half-ton dana 44 would i be able to get a set of flat knuckles off of? thanks alot..west747

t-19 came with a granny gear also. it was something like 5.6:1, the big atvantage is first gear is syncroed.
i did know any jeep ever came w/ a 19 though... i thought only scout and fords.
in the 18 reverse is over and up, and in the 19 it is over and down.

i also believe flat top years are 77 to maybe 79??? but im sure 77 is a flat top year
