Longest Lasting Super Swampers

Anyone ever had any super swampers that lasted them a long time? I know all the manufacturers only gaurantee them for like 6 months but someone has to have had them last for a couple years of mostly street and highway driving with some offroading.

PS: I just got my lift put on this weekend so I'll put up pics soon!

Question about my Ford 8.8" rearend.

I had the Interco (same company that makes Super Swampers) Thornbirds on my old truck and they lasted me a couple of years. They're Interco's version of an all-terrain tire and they're made of a harder rubber compound than most off road tires. They look good but they're bad on the street in the rain and almost usless off road. They're also very loud. They're almost like giant slicks with big nobs sticking out the sides. Here's some pictures of what mine looked like on my truck.

The good ole bias plys like the TSL and the TSL SX will probably last the longest, I think they've got the hardest rubber compound out of the swampers. This comes at the expense of good road manners and flat-spotting. Most jeepers don't buy swampers for thier tread life but for the awesome traction.

If you want a compromise between long tread life, good road manners, and offroad traction, look at the TSL Radial and the SSR.

Not speaking from experience.... but the TrXuS tires that Interco makes look like they would last pretty well on the road. They even make a TrXuS all-terrain. Do a google search on it.

I am either going with the Trxus or TSL radial, and I have heard of people having both on their vehicles for over two years. Just keep up on your rotating and they should last just fine.
