I had a powertrax locker in an 11-sec Monte SS I used to have. It definitely locks the rear & I was running 10" street slicks & it held up nice so I'd imagine it'd withstand offroad abuse as well. However, I know that when I made tight turns the rear wheels would hop some (like a spool which doesn't allow the axels to turn independently of one another) which could be a negative in tight offroad situations, especially w/ big tires. It would definitely make both tires work to get out of the mud though![addsig]
