Help now!!!!!

Hello, I have got some questions about lifting my 97 grand cherokee. If I am wanting to get 31x10.50 on there how much of a lift will I need? And what is the best way of lifting one of these with out having to sell one of my kids?

What transmission do I have?

you will need like 3" lift to clear 31's.. you'll need new rims too or you'll rub on a corner.

RE: Re: New guy

Do you thing that I would be able use some wheel spacers with my factory rims because I really like the rims that i have on it right now.

RE: Quick U Joint Question

Your front tires will slightly run the lower control arms at full-lock, nothing serious. You can use stock wheels, and use wheel spacers if it bothers you. Spacers can help add stability to a vehicle to counteract the raised center of gravity from the lift.

wheels spacers are also considered by many to be the "improper" way to offset a wheel, they will mention things like extra strain on the lugs, etc...

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY JUNKPILE!!!!!!!

you only need a 2" bb to run 31's on a zj, i did it for over a year, no problem. and with proper backspacing and/or wider rims, you won't have any issues rubbing the control arms. the only thing that rubbed on mine was the bottom part of the front bumper and the plastic in the inner wheel well.
