Kilby-HP1000 or XD2000 On Board Air Compressor-????

I was wondering if anyone has heard any pro's or con's with these on board compressors. They are supposed to be a complete replacement for a shop compressor and put out a conciderable amount of air, 8CFM @ 100psi @ 12VDC or 16CFM @ 100 psi @ 24 VDC, without a tank. I am looking into a battery operated compressor instead of a York mainly because if say your engine should become inoperable, you still have your battery and 2 yellow top Optima's can handle this compressor at full load for more then 2 hours. I know they are a bit spendy but I think they are conciderably more reliable the the york, not to mention I am getting a sweet deal on the XD2000. The only difference between the two is the HP1000 has a 4.5hp motor and a 30% Duty Cycle and the XD2000 has a 5hp motor and a 90% duty cycle. I am also wondering if it is worth the extra 200 for the 60% more duty cycle of the XD2000. I tried looking at all kinds of discussion boards and web pages for this but no luck. Any one have anythihng?
