keyless entry alrarm

So I got a keyless entry on my XJ and i'd like to add an alarm to it without having to geet a new remote thing...I'd really like to keep the factory remote cause of its nice peanut shape.

Is there an aftermarket kit that uses the old remote? Or would it be alot easier just getting a new one and ditching the peanut?

Ditch the peanut....you can get an inexpensive system that will do it all.

But will I be able to use the old stuff in the door for the keyless entry? or i gotta put all new box things in there?

With a decent alarm system you will be able to use the alarm remote to operate your keyless entry that works now.

u should be able to use the new remote to open ur doors, keep the peanut in case you get rid of the new alarm later on.
