Got n '89 Wrangler that suddenly stated to idle at 2K. Cleaned the TBI, checked for vacuum leaks, no good. Finally backed the fast idle way down. Helped for a few months, but now it's back and this time it's closer to 3K. The rig isn't much but it's my daily driver; any thoughts are appreciated.

If you cleaned the TB and IAC and reinstalled them correctly checking the IAC and TPS connections. Then you really need to look for vacuum leaks. Start at the throttle body. verify the gasket is not damaged or dirty. The TB is torqued down properly. Then check the intake by slowly spraying TB cleaner near each cylinder. If the rpm changes you found something. Check these areas in the vac line system.
