Hello,
I recently bought a 78 cj-7 . The owner said the rebuilt motor had less than 20k miles on it , but he didn't know anything about cars. Well, the radiator cover says it is a 232, but it has a 2bbl Carter carb and intake. Is there any way I can identify this engine without taking it apart? Where are the vin #'s on the block? Are there any id marks such as ; bosses on the block casting, threaded holes, casting bumps, or external flanges , etc ?
Thanks a lot ,
