how was your 4th?

hey everyone just wondering how your 4th of july weekend was.
mine was about the worst one i have had. i was driving my samurai home from eugene ( about 45 miles from home) got about halfway home noticed i had low oil pressure (20psi at 4000 rpm) pulled over i was a little low on oil less then half a quart low, so i topped it off. made it to my exit and the motor blew a big cloud of smoke and died, she restarted and i limped her home leaving a very nice cloud of smoke the remianing 6 miles, now im looking into a rubuild kit. the wost part is the guy i bought it from said he rebuilt it a month before i bought it. this "new" motor supposely has less then 12,000 miles on it. im pretty sure he did not rebuild it as he said he did. anyone have a worse weekend?

No, can't say I can top that. Sucks to hear it......I feel for you.

I just got stuck in a mudhole, but that's all part of the game. Jeep's still runnin' fine after 135K miles. Kayaks are runnin' good, but I might have to change the oil!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

yea my jeep is runnig strong at 240,000. i wish i just got stuck in a mud hole.

Sorry to hear about the Sammy. I had a great 4th for a change. It is my birthday so a good friend asked me if I wanted to go wheeling in SW Wa. Found myself in the Cascades. About 0100, I was stuck on Spud Mtn, looking for a way thro the trees. Sat back and smiled....it was awesome to be in my jeep that night as the trails became better and better. Weather was warm, the top and doors off, covered in wet clay, stream crossings, seems like half the forest was in my jeep....I was having fun for sure.
