Holley 6425 will it drown my 258

I have a 74 cj5 with a 258. I was considering putting a mild cam in it and an intake from clifford performance. According to the description it is made for a minimum of 350 cfm. I am a factory trained gm technician but at the age of twenty nine I have very little knowledge of carburetors. I have done some research and it says 6425 is 650 cfm. A guy gave me the Holley and I was just curious weather it would work. Just a wild guess but the Holley would probably drown my 258 right?

Actually I have heard and read of a lot of people putting 600ish holleys on 6cyl. They claimed it worked great, I think there are a few people on this site that run holleys on their 258,s but im not sure what size they are. The ones I read about jetted them down using smaller jets to get it to run right.. There are people on here that will know more about it than I do and am sure they will be on soon. Good luck
