i'm doing exactly what the site says to do to post images yet it won't come up? any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

did you set the image tag AND close it?
also you could check if your getting the complete address in the properties window... some are really long and you can't see it all.

yeah i opened and closed the image tag. and i copied the address off the top of the screen at my yahoo photo site and directly pasted it on the board. :( if i use the same address with the url i can post a link to the site but i can't get the image to post directly on the board.

thanks for the help guys. it's been driving me nuts trying to figure out what i was doing wrong. thanks again.

Still doesn't show for me, maybe Yahoo doesn't allow remote posting of pics hosted by them. I'm pretty sure imagestation.com does.

Actually I believe Imagestation.com does not allow remote linking... but you can trick their system

P.S. If there is any info missing or needing clarification in my sticky post about "How to post an Image" let me know... I want it to be as easy to follow as possible

Isn't there an extra .jpg file extension added that you have to remove?

I used to use Webshots until they stopped allowing remote linking, never found a way to trick that system.

You must remove the .orig.jpg if the file is a JPEG
-or-
remove the .orig.gif if the file is a GIF

frankiefire702,

Yahoo doesn’t allow free remote linking anymore. It's now a premium service (for a fee)

It's a recent change.
