Hello All,

Can someone help with a problem I am having with my blower fan HVAC on my 99 JEEP TJ?

One day last week the fan all of a sudden quit working, No matter what switch selection I use the blower doesnt work. I have read that if the Resistor goes out then it will work but only on the highest setting for the fan. This is not the case however.

I checked the obvious like the fuse behind the glove box and the relay in the PCB (Power Control Box) under the hood and they are both okay. Is there a resistor close to the blower fan on this model/year jeep that I could check?

Begining to think it's just the switch/dial on the dash that needs replacing.

Ideas?

Thanks

Turn the switch on, check across the terminals with a meter set on DC or an indicator light. Not a continuity tester. Any voltage means a bad switch. Or, pull the plug on your motor, turn on the switch and check voltage to ground. It's best to start at one end or the other, and work your way back until you find the problem. I.E., start at switch, keep working towards motor till you lose power. Start at motor, keep working back until you find power. Hope this helps, Alan.[addsig]
