I have a 87 cherokee with the fuel injected 4.0L( non-HO ) and a 5-speed. The problem is, when it's warmed up it will act like it "run out of gas" when it's at an idle( pushing in the clucth as you stop for a light ) and when you start it back up the rpms go up to about 2000 and slowly come back down to an idle. I think it's one of the sensors on the throttle body but I don't know which one it is( Throttle postioning sensor or Idle Air sensor ). If you have had this problem(s) or think you know what may be causing this problem(s) and how to fix it, please get back to me. Thank You[*]null[addsig]

is this fuel injected or carbuerated? the first things i'd check would be the EACV and PCV valves and such. a clogged air filter may also cause this.[addsig]
