hartop and door compatibility questions

Ok, so since my jeep does not seem to ever be coming home, I am getting rid of the hardtop, giving it to a friend I think.
Here is the problem. She has a soft top, half hard doors with soft uppers. it is my understanding that those uppers will not creat a seal and keep out the elements with a hardtop in place.
is this correct?
If so, what does she need to make it a secure fit, at a reasonable cost. I woudl assume new door uppers, but would hope the only choice was not the $350 ones with the sliding windows.

any one know?
thanks

Sorry to say but I think that is the only option you got other than full doors. that is what I got in place with my hardtop.-al

is this a yj or a tj? someone please correct me if im wrong.....but i think the upper doors that come with a super top, the ones with the rounded rear upper corner will work.

go to quadratec.com and take a close look at the supertop for a yj, the uppers have rounded corners that may be the ticket.

i just recently got a hardtop, and the sliders that came with it are NOT fun to use.. only the rear half slides.... on my soft sliders, the front and rear half will open.... when i get the welder, i am going to modify the frame of the soft sliders so i can use them

The rounded corner uppers work with the hard top. If you have the factory uppers you will have to buy some uppers that work with the supertop.

Both Quadratec and 4WD Hardware told me that the rounded soft upper doors (that come with the Supertop) wont seal with a hard top. Two weeks later a guy I work with shows up with a hardtop on his jeep and the same soft upper doors that they told me would not work. They were obviously wrong. They also said the aftermarket fiberglass uppers would only work with the aftermarket hardtops of the same brand. I'm guessing they were wrong about that, too. I bought used hard doors before I found out they were wrong. They are really nice to have, but I would have saved my $$$ if I'd have known.
