shifting problems

Hi everyone, going to pick up a hard top this week, I have an 89 yj with bikini top and duster. Is there any thing I need to remove to install the hard top, i.e. rails etc,and any surprises I should know about? A drill , socket set, and torx bits, any other tools I need to bring,I'm installing it 2 hours from home. Thanks 8) 8) 8)

That should be the right tools. The new hardtop may or may not install over the windshield channel, so you'll need a phillips screwdriver incase you need to remove it. Pick up a roll of truck topper insulation, walmart carries it, to layer on top of the windshield. You'll appreciate the reduction in drafts, noise, and vibration.

Don't forget drill bits to drill the windshield if it's not already.

Cool. He's got a YJ windshield frame for me, would you mind picking it up for me for $25 and I'll come to Belleville and get it from you?

I'll get it for you no problem, I'm not sure if we are going this Sat. or next, you can convoy with us, me ,high voltage,yuri,and 3 guys from mwjt, no jeep, missing moab , sid , If we go this sat. I'll try to bring it to the chili cookoff. 8) 8) 8)
