Graduation from Army BCT

Got back late Sunday night from Georgia where we watched our son's graduation from Army Basic Training. Our entourage spent the week at Ft. Benning for Family Day and Graduation ceremonies then, later, transported Willie to Ft. Gordon where he will spend the next 22 weeks completing his advance individual training (AIT).

I posted a few personal pics on my website.

The graduation ceremony was well executed and fun to watch ... but the pics I took didn't do it justice so they didn't get posted. And yeah, I balled like a baby. It was a proud day for a lot of parents.

I'm proud for you too. Proud of him also. ;)

I graduated basic at Ft. Ord. Yeah, yeah, back when pteradactyls were still flying...

Congrats on your son's acheivement and his service to the country!

Cewtwo, ever get in that hybrid poison ivy and oak they go on Ord? Boy I did and it was not nice. TWDJ, congrats on your Sons graduation and I know your a very proud Dad and you should be, tell your son Thank You for serving from a fellow Soldier. Take Care, KJ

Thank your son from us, I hope it never gets old to hear how proud and thankful we are for his service to our country!
