i was greasing everything under the jeep today and i just happened to look at my t-case. its a 231, not a 207 like i thought. so i don't have to use the ford t-case when i swap the motors as the 231 is a better t-case. and its funny, its got a build date or jan of 87 and is an amc 231. i don;t see any weird holes drilled in the trans or t-case so the guy who built this jeep prior to the previous owner really did spend some money and time building it right. i just wish i knew the displacement properly. i found a harmonic balance spacer which guarantees its a stroker but now i am stuck wondering the size, 4.5 to 4.9 are the normal sizes.
