So I got my leaf springs in today, just need my shock boots and I will be good to go on the lift, man I can't wait I have wanted to lift it since I bought it 3 months ago......the next question is, what should the next mod be....I'm thinking bumpers, I saw a pretty awesome one in the RE mag that was 950 but had a mount for a hi lift and oversized tire carrier and a couple other things....in the meantime, any cheaper mods yall sugest??

Shock boots can hurt you if you're going to be running in any kind of mud. Boots keep the mud in, which will eventually eat up your seals. Just my .02

I guess I would lift it and see what else you might need to add to the mix to make it perfect. Ie brake lines, bump stops, etc....

If you go near water or deep mud find a snorkle kit, or some other protection for your engine. Electric fan ("pusher" mounted between the grill and the radiator. Also move your vents for the trans, tranfer case, and axles to higher groung also.

Then there is the more prepared stuff, Hi-lift, shovel, tow straps, D rings, winch/ come along, CB, GPS, Red phone with direct connection to the President,..........Oh the list goes on and on!!

let me just give you a list of jeep mod retailers and go from there. My next mods to tugly due to the low cost of doing so is cutting the front fenders to flatties and maybe even triming the rear of the tub for more clearence. There is no end to the things to be done. Never over look the simiplest of mods. There is always work to be done in the wireing and additional lights and horn up grade and on and on and on. Mod's do not have to be big to be great. Thumb throttle, Mounts for the hilift, Tool Box tie downs, man it goes on and on. tug

Mountain bike water bottle w/mounts on the shifter roll cage or where ever you can think of!! Thumb throttle, Yes yes!!! OH CAMMO PAINT!!!!
Herculiner anything not cammo.

But most of all, don't forget a tablet of paper. This is to jot down notes of things you "think of" while out on the trail!! Which leads to my next tip GO WHEELIN!!! I have been so busy tinkering on the jeep and other general things I haven't been in months.................

On Board Air and even a Welder would be so nice. Rock lights and interior lights that work well enough to see what all is going on on a dark trail are good. A log corded Trail Trouble light will be a ggo thing to have in the kit. There is no end to what you can add at little or no cost. Tug

i'm still tryin to find me an alternator to make my welder out of... i got a motorcraft from a mustang... but i can't figure out the regulator in it.... i need a delco

what exactly is on board air?? is that just an air pump for the tires?? I don't think I would really need that since I don't and won't do any serious rock climbing....don't think I could even use a welder, never have before really don't see a reason to have one ....if it breaks it breaks get something better
