Gears!!!

Hey, im thinking about switching my gears to 4.56. I still have the stock 35 in the rear and 30 up front. No lockers, no nothing done there. I have the CV driveshaft and SLE kit. Whats the best thing for me to do? Cheapest way to go. Im running 35" tires, but I want to go up to a 38".



Anybody got any gears? Or used (good condition) axels for sale maybe?[addsig]

Which engine and transmission do you have?

What was the stock gearing?

What type of Jeeping do you do and what percentage of each?



All of these are taken into consideration when choosing the proper axle gears, not just what tire size you have now and what you want to get.



Why go to 38", that's such overkill on a Jeep

I got the stock 4.0 motor. Dont know what the factory running gears are. 4.11 maybe. O dont know exactly. 1991 YJ is the rid I got. and a manual 5-spd transmission[addsig]

You've got 3.07 gears, first three digits on the tag attached to two diff cover bolts.[addsig]
