what is the tallest gear i can put in my XJ>? i know i have 3.55 i would like to get like 2.73 or so... any ideas and if so what links and or pics..

1989 xj and the reason is i drive alot on the highway. do you know were to get taller gears so i can get more top end speed???

3.07 is a very common ratio for stock jeep axles such as yours, cheaper to swap in other stock axles with that ratio.

You may even find a local jeeper with 3.07 axles willing to trade, maybe at www.naxja.org/forum .
