Gadget, I found Bubbacons long lost love.

RE: 4.0L swap: What am I in for?

I was driving around my hometown yesterday and found this nice looking CJ7.

It reminded me of Gadget's Bubbacon

It's a 85 CJ-7, Rino lined interior, fresh paint, and overall a nice Jeep, but does not come with hard-top or any doors.

It's for sale!

Anyone have glow guages?

Nice find, 90Xjay!

I have a seldom used full soft-top, with doors, and a bunch of excess CJ-7 stuff to slap on that bad-boy!

It would be fun to set-up that CJ for our winter weather, then give the CJ to Mrs. Gadget.

Imagine that: a matched pair -- kind-a -- of CJ-7s in the driveway.

Mrs. Gadget and I grew up in the strip mining coal country of NE Pennsylvania. (OK -- she grew up; I was raised there.) While in high school, the future Mrs. Gadget often had to drive deeply into the strip mines to deliver her father to his work on one of those humungous draglines (Tyrannosaurus Excavatus).

Worth noting is that she did that while driving a four-door, standard shift, 1955 Chevy Bel-Air. Imagine driving through Paragon Off-Road Park in a 55 Cheby among a line of "Euclids" (Bigsuckerous Yellowvatous Truckasaurus).

Not much scares Mrs. Gadget now.

She might even make me meatloaf if I were to give her a Bubbacon-II.

Which engine-transmission combo? How much? Where?

Regards,

Gadget

OK...I had to do it.

I printed the picture of the CJ and showed the picture to Mrs. Gadget and the younger gadgette.

They both said something along the lines of:

"OMG! How cute! It looks like Barney's Jeep!"

HA~HA~HA~HA!

Regards,

Not allowed to select the color of anything, and now you know why ...
