Front Axle (klank)

I recently had to replace my inner axle seals, and i have the two piece passenger side axle if anyone knows what im talking about. Any way when i instlled the axles back together everything seemed to be fine, but about a week later i noticed that when i turn really sharp to the left and move a hear a klanking noise and it even happens sometimes when a go up a steep hill and then stop and this is also only in two wheel drive, this guy that helped me do the seals said that the lock ring is just locked in 4wd. . . . is this ok to have or will it eventually tear something up

You shouldn't hear any noise even if the disconnect collar was engaged. Doesn't sound okay to me.

well when im at a dead stop and then turn the wheels all the way to left and creep forward or backwards it will only do it once, but when I also go up a little of a steap incline and then hit the brakes it will also do it then but that when the wheels are straight.,

Could also be a bad front track bar or bad control arm bushings. I'd start with the track bar, have somebody turn the steering wheel to full lock and bounce it back and forth off of full lock while you watch both ends of the front track bar.

Then inspect the control arm bushings with a flashlight and screwdriver.

Controls side to side movement of the axle. You'll see movement in one end or the other if it's bad, or loose.
