From the "wanna get away" file:

I like this guy already. The first Democrat up there I've agreed with. Well I'm bout sick of Bush, I guess I agree with a lot of them... damn (yes I'm conservative)

sheesh.

The "articulate" adjective when referring to African Americans is something people have known about as a no-no for YEARS. It implies "Most Black people aren't articulate, but THIS guy sure is."

It's completely unforgivable that a person in today's society is so out of touch that they don't even know that using said word in such a way is so despicable that it's a running joke of sorts.

And in an interview no less! I guess I know who I'm NOT voting for...

Yeah that was pretty stupid to say that. Around here I'll hear people refer to a black person as "well spoken". Just as bad as "articulate", like the person is surprised there is a black person that can speak.

No the dude in the article. And I'm a conservative at heart, but recently the Republicans have really been making me mad.

I actually thought Joe Biden had a chance. I figured that the support for Hillary and Obama would be from most of the far left, while Biden could gain ground quickly if they all entered debate.

Well that's all out the window now. He just had a worse blow than the famous scream from Howeird Dean.

you are all forgetting something critical here.

How far back in years do you have to go to find a President elected as a US Senator? I think maybe even JFK?

My point is that it looks like the country only elects Governors. I don't know why, maybe because Govs are more experienced running governments at the state level.
I'll put my money that the next president will come from a governor's office.

That's a decent point. Governors, while not necessarily more qualified, are more visible to the public. Especially if you're from a large state, ie Texas, Cali, NY, Etc.

Although, Bush (sr) was a congressman , he did obtain the office of VP before running for Pres, so that point is still a valid one.
