? for Bounty Hunter axle seal?

Which transfer case you have, Selec-Trac with the 4fulltime option, or Command-Trac without the 4fulltime? I'm guessing Selec-Trac since it's an XJ limited. Does it have the pass. side axle vacuum disconnect on the front axle?
The seal is inside the vacuum disconnect housing if your Jeep has the disconnect. If you have the solid pass. side axle, then I'm thinking the seal is on the inside of the differential, just towards the passenger wheel from the differential. You'll have to pull the pass. axle shaft and remove the differential if this is the case.
If you have pass. side disconnect, you only have to remove the pass. side axle shafts and disconnect motor to replace the seal.
