I currently have a 95 and when i bought it 2 bolts snapped off the exaust manifold and so the guy fixed it but he did a sham job and put zinc bolts in that i dont think match the pattern at all insted of hardened steel. and now it leaks like a siv right out of the engine wich is not good at all. is there a place whare i can get the parts i need that the manifold screws in to insted of having to re drill the holes? whats best to do? :-? :-( [addsig]

The front and rear studs on the exhaust manifold are what break most often. If yours has bolts, I'd take them out as soon as possible and get the studs from a stealership. They are not expensive (I know, hard to believe coming from a stealership)

For those with the 2.5L engine, there is a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) that has been issued by Chrysler that covers the front and rear exhaust manifold studs, IF you're under 8yr/80,000 miles :-O The dealership will replace them for free, get it done if they are broken, it really quieted up my engine, no more ticking.

Go to AllData, put in your vehicle information, and look for "Exhaust Manifold - Outer Studs Breaking". Copy the TSB number, issue date, and title, chances are the stealership may have trouble finding it in thier system. They WILL fix it for free if your in the 8/80k limits.[addsig]

They should replace them, and hurry since your 8yrs are about up. Go to a 5-star dealer and threaten to call DC customer service if they won't fix it. Tell them it's covered under TSB #11-07-98A issued: DEC 98 Title: Exhaust Manifold - Outer Studs Breaking :-D

Metro Chrylser, a 5-star dealer in Columbia, IL, fixed mine for free.

If anybody has paid to have thiers fixed within the 8yr/80K, you can notify DC and they are required to reimburse you, if you have receipts  [addsig]
