Ever wish you could spell check during a post, with out copying and pasting the post into word or some other editor?

Well, the Java in the reply window won't allow for it.

But if you use Firefox, and you all should be, there are 2 ways you can do it.

You can download the google tool bar, and it will work. However, it doesn't work with all WYSIWYG editors. It goofs up sometimes in those configs.

A better solution is the "Spellbound extension". It's great because a light red dotted bar appears real time as you type for any mistakes.

But there's just one catch, Spellbound hasn't officially been upgraded for the latest firefox.

I found a beta version and a site that walks you thru installation. DOn't be intimidated as it's very simple. So simple 90Xjay would be able to figure it out.

Here's the site: http://www.wildtangents.net/2006/02...ound-spell-checker-working-with-firefox-1501/

Or....you could just upgrade to Firefox 2.0.

It's included by default. :D

evidently. I bought this computer in November, and downloaded Firefox immediately. I guess the update must've come in the last 2 months?

I think the upgrade came out in about Septemberish. I downloaded it, and it was giving me problems, as did the originial firefox. So here I am, Internet Explorer, always been true and faithful to me.

Really? how so?? IE is the browser that messes up for me. :???: I switched to Firefox because of my difficulties with IE.

another funny thing in your defense.
After I read the post about version two, I when to the help tab on Firefox and clicked on the button to check for updates and it said non was available!

So if you are running Firefox now and try to update it, it tells you that you are running the most current version, but your not...

Yeah, and actually I'm supposed to be alerted of any updates.

EDIT: Although I think what that means is that there are no new updates for version 1.5... who knows.
