Engine stalls when i put in to drive

Hello I have an 87 4.0 jeep automatic trans. The engine starts and idles but when I put the jeep in drive it dies. Then I put it back in park and I start it up. It idles but will not move help I'm lost. This is my first jeep. HELP

Sounds like a torque converter clutch is siezed or a tcc solenoid is failed
