E Brake cable

I'm getting ready to lift my XJ and just did a once over of things that might cause problems...and i found one.

The E brake cable that runs under the drivers side of the body mounts to a plate thing..then one cable goes to the passenger rear wheel and driver rear wheel, the one on the driver side looks like its going to be too short and if it did fit it cause a problem during flexing. any ideas?

Probably the easiest way to get more travel is to move the whole bracket back.
It's kind of hard to explain, so bear with me..

The three cables all come together in a rectangular bracket that is bolted to the frame (unibody), you can unbolt that bracket and move it back.

I moved mine back several inches. The trick is finding some of those self tapping bolts, the automotive kind.

I seem to remember someone talking about using a YJ cable.
