Well Natile Maines...tell us again how you feel about things.....

While I respect her(their) right to say what they want about the war, the president, price of milk, or what color their toenails are.. I would think that they learned a lesson about being a private person in the public eye.

I just read that several concert dates are in jeapardy of being cancelled and some postponed due to way below normal ticket sales. It is a shame, I used to like their early music, but when she started running her mouth about politics.. I just don't care for them anylonger, kinda like when Ellen Degenerate "came out" on her show.. just not funny anymore...

Freedom of speech has a down side for those in in showbiz. Like Alec Baldwin and "Babs"...

Yeah, bringing politics into the spotlight when they had a lucrative entertainment business going has not fared well for the Chicks with Dixies.

oops, Dixie Chicks. Sorry for the typo.

Yep, I know several guys who get all upset when you mention the Dixie Chicks.. It would almost be worth while to buy one of them tickets for their concert to watch him blow a gasket! :purple:

Many, many years ago, I saw the Dixie Chicks perform at the Winfield National Bluegrass and Flatpicking Championships here in Kansas. They were just getting started, and played awesome bluegrass and folk music......if I only knew then what I knew now.....

Thats a good point.. they are a very talented trio, they have the ability to put out some awesome music and harmony. They just chose to use their fame to do something different.

I saw a bio on them and the two sisters looked like they were ready to string up the chunky one.
Folks like Alec Baldwin get away with their statements only because they live CA.

It was reported that they cancelled their Memphis because of low ticket sales.

They get what they ask for, they can't be too surprised about this can they?
