Differential Whining?

Hello again...So I've got a 1996 Grand Cherokee V8 w/ 123,000 miles. For the past year or so, I have noticed that something whines when I am accelerating while taking turns. It gets worse when I have been driving for awhile and it gets hot, and it particularly got worse this summer. My first instinct is its the differentials....which had the fluid replace about 20,000 miles ago. It has the Quadra Trac II system. Anybody know what the whining might be and a fix for it? I dont know much about drivetrains to explain it like im an idiot. Thanks

I'd start by changing the fluid again and check for any metal shavings or burnt oil in there. Worn ring and pinion gears will whine.

i agree... but if it only does it around a corner i would also suggest checking the wheel bearings, they will act up on a corner if they are going. if it is the ring & pinion, it will do it straight down the road as well. mine has whined for 30k miles and hs not gotten noticeably worse.
