As stated in my 10 second stall out thread,I'm a little jilted towards my 89.What I am thinking now is devolving to a carburetor...not real sure whaat all would be involved tho so looking for some feedback.
Its not my DD and it sems like a cool project for me and my kids.I have all the tools and many parts jeeps to donor from....what do you think of the idea in general,and how involved would it be.
I do realize that I would have to adjust the timing as I travel between sea level desert and 11000 feet snowboarding,but not usually in the same day...

if you have emissions where you are, i think you would have to re-program or remove the computer so the check engine light wouldn't be on. I probably don't have the best knowledge, but that might be something you would have to figure out

We have inspection but no emissions.Yet.Good point tho as I would not have thought of that.

take a look at this. It seems to sum up what you might run into when converting. Its about mustangs, but it could go for any conversion with some differences

That covered a lot of my concerns,thanks.I'm gonna go parts hunting tomorrow and start stripping.......if you know anyone needing parts for an 89 relating to efi,they will be for sale....

Im actually pretty pumped,might give the old girl a few more years of thrashing!Just dont want to turn her into a trailer baby.
