Will 2002 wrangler fender flares fit and look good on my 89 model? I removed stock ones for more tire clearance. Will these style interfere at all with tire size clearance. Plan on going to 35s after my 4 inch suspention lift soon. Also is 125 bucks for a clean used set a fair price? Thanks!

yes, and thats a good price. i understand you have to trim some of the sheet metal to make them look good though. tons of people are running them

I have no flares now, how can they ad clearance? Lol

Hey buddy..I have a set of stock flares off my 2000 TJ. Small scratches on the front left one. I have had them in a box for years now (maybe 7 years or so). I don't need them. What do you think?

the wheel well openings in teh tub of the CJ and YJ are considerably smaller than the TJ. when you put the TJ flares onto the YJ, you need to cut several inches of metal out of the tub to get the flares to fit. that is how you increar the clearence. a YJ with 4" lift and TJ flares will easily clear 35's. I'll look for pics of mine.

edit, when you cut the tub, you want to remove very little material from teh front of the wheel well or you will be cutting inside the tub.

36" tires, 3.5" springs settled to about 3" TJ flares. I used sahara flares since they are a little wider. I am a fan of TJ flares due to them being very flexible, you can kinda see in this picture that these flares had a tough life, I think there were only 2 or 3 screws holding the flare on at this point.

I no longer run flares at all.

Ok thanks guys! Ill have to think this one over! Not sure if i want to be cutting up the sides of my jeep. Hard to do? I would not want to mess up my ride
