If it's in the YJ, you are getting air into the hydraulic clutch slave. You either need a new clutch master cylinder or a new hydraulic clutch slave.[addsig]

It is a YJ and do I need to drop the transmission to fix it ? Also what causes that??? How much for the part??? :-D [addsig]

unfortunately... if you have a bad slave... you'll have to pull the transmission[addsig]

If you need a slave cylinder go to NAPA and save about 35 bucks over the dealer and most likely they will have one in stock. Still going to run you 120.00 or so. While you are in there go ahead and look over the cluth and see if you should replace it as you do not want to have to pull it all down agian any time soon. If you do replace the clutch while you are in there reface the flywheel too. Good luck been there did that. tug[addsig]

You have to take the clutch to a machine shop to have it resurfaced.

You'll want to replace the entire clutch kit depending on how many miles you have on the clutch now. You can get a clutch kit that includes the hydraulic slave for a great price from Carolina Clutch and DialAClutch :-D [addsig]
