Clutch adjustment???

I just had a new bell housing and a new clutch installed in my '85 CJ-5, 3 speed straight six Jeep. When I drive it now, the clucth pedal only has to be millimeters from the floor to start to engage,, If I ride the clutch, at all, I can hear the clutch spinning and my wheels are going no where.. How do I adjust the pedal to fix this..

Transmission Problem??

did you do the install yourself? if a mechanic/shop was involved, i'd just bring it back to them and have them fix it...

I would agree with the post before.

But if not crawl underneath the rig and find the clutch fork. (under the drivers side on the side of the transmission.) You will see the rod that pushes the fork has a long threaded section with a large threaded sleeve. This is the clutch adjustment. Make sure the clutch pivot that is bolted on the firewall is installed correctly. The longer arm should be on the pedal side and the short arm on the clutch side. (the grease zerk should be facing down not up)

Hope this helps.
