Some mechanic aquantances, of mine, seem to be able to get anything through the smog test. Might be worth asking around. See if you can find another Jeep with the same swap.
Why are you flunking? The tech. inspection, unburnt fuel/excessive hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, residues of combustion/02?
I´m not really a good guy to ask, I´ve got a 350 TBI, that I flunk, at regular intervals. Came to find out, the critera for my model and year, is wrong in the computer (so they say) and use the results from another year truck, to get through (mine is actually cleaner that his, I have more complete combustion, fewer unburnt hydrocarbons, but his gives the expected results, more 02).
