I see all the changes that jeep does to it's machines inthese modern times,and to me it is kinda disgraceful. But like the music of rock and roll has been distorted so has the face of jeep. BUT,the good shit will never die,johnny cash,elvis presley,zz top,amongst others,cannt leave steppen wolf or joan biaz,outa the picture. the new modern look of todays jeep will dissappear,like the hummer.But like the music, our cj and yj jeeps will live on,forever young.

yup. when the times turn for the worse, and the world starts moving towards a down hill because of over population and wars, our old jeep will be the valuable ones because of lack of computers and ease of maintenance. like on madmax and all those types of movies.

or, if there is a zombie outbreak or a superflu, like in the book "the stand". then the old school jeeps will be the ones to have also, same reasons

I have to admit... When the YJs first came out I was completely disgusted... with what was then the "Modern/Updated/New" jeep machine....
My new found appreciation & affection for the YJ stems primarily from the fact that once you get past the grille/headlights...the YJ is far more "CJ" than "TJ"in nature (especially 87-89).
Now I just smile when I see/hear the "WhyJ" and "Wrongler" and "Wangler" comments....they obviously don't know JEEP....

i have a cj and a yj and love them both for different reasons . i also have a xj but i dont love it the same because of the damn computer i know it has for a heart lol !
