choke questions on '89 wrangler

I've got an 89' wrangler with the stock 258 motor. I brought it to my jeep mechanic to tune the carb nice for the winter. Everything works fine except the choke sticks, and won't gradually release the idle speed. So bassically, my jeep will high idle until it is COMPLETELY warmed up, and as sson as it starts cooling down again, the high idle will kick back in. Any ideas? Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks guys (and girls)

Whats up Bob, Long time no talk!! what have you been up to?

An how, Sounds like you need a new IAC motor

Idle air control Motor.

Hey are you up for some wheeling soon? I am heading to your neck of the woods this weekend for some mud fixxin! email me or laura!

I am not completely familiar with Wranglers however I was not aware the 258 even had and IAC motor. the 4.0's do I beleive but not a carbed engine. It might have and idle stop motor that moves the linkage on the side of the carb but they are not same thing. My best guess would be the choke adjustment. The choke might be set too tight meaning the engine has to be completely warmed to be completely off. The choke it attached to the fast idle came on the side of the carb i believe. If the choke cools down it will engage the cam again takeing the idle speed back up.
