budget lifts. worth it?

Cheap way to clear a bigger tire and/or give the Jeep a little more clearance/better stance? Sure. Not what you want if you are going to do serious offroading but many run them and you keep the stock ride quality as well.

I'd rather see you do that than a body lift, but that's just a preference/opinion.

you will never see me run a body lift, and if you do, shoot me on the spot, not a word just pull the trigger. i just want to bring my rig a little higher off a set of 235-75-15s till i can afford a 6" and 33s.

TC, can I ask you something? When did they start makin body lifts for XJ's? I didn't know they ever separated the frame from the body. :p :D

Ooooooooo... it's an XJ...

LOL whoopsie

Oh well it should'a been in the stinkin' XJ forum anyways :p

I guess I should'a clicked the link, huh.

FWIW that's the same exact BB I had on my XJ (along with a 3" lift). They make good products but I wasn't thrilled with their service. I'd call them to make sure they have what you want in stock before you buy it. I had to wait forever for a set of coil spacers.

my bad, i would have put it in the cherokee section at first but i figured it was a general question. oh well its in the right place now all is well. ill have to do some more reaserch and see what is the best one eh.

I don't believe the auto parts stores carry any coil spring spacers, so this type of kit may set apart from those because of it.

These budget kits are okay, we used a 2" block in the back of our '98 XJ with no problems, more onroad use than off.

Take what you read about AAL's on that site with a grain of salt, they're not all bad. The thinner full-length add-a-leaf kits don't roughen the ride while they do add some lift, and make the spring pack last longer. I generally cut up a set of stock springs and use one of the long leaves added to each spring pack to add around 1.5" of lift.

i ran a tera flex 2" bb for 2 years oin my xj with some 30's they only rubbed after i would jump her at the dunes i had not complaints about them i had longer shackels in the rear and poly spacer up front.

I have 2 inches, and have 31's under them, and there's no problem for me. I don't do anything really crazy, but I haven't had a problem. Eventually you'll probably want something larger to fit bigger tires, but to start with if you want to get a little clearance without a ton of cash...

well then. thay seem to be a good idea for my application huhh. and if i can run a set of at least 30s, thats not too shabby. 235/75/15s are a 29"er so no issues there.
