best engine places???

Another newbie question for the experts. and I hope it's not too stupid. I've been worring about seat belts, and my mechanic tells me I really need a new engine. (he's not looking to cash in, he doesn't "do" engines) Its a 1991 YJ. Any ideas on good places to buy an engine. I can get a Jasper for $2200...or one from some place in Spokane for with the nits and lice 1900. These sound reasonable????
thanks again

I'm not sure but a place by me does install and everything for under $900. I'm not sure if it's rebuilt or brand new though.

Where are you located? If you are in jersey the guy I go to does rebuilds for $1000 for a 6cyl or $2000 for an 8 cyl. Those prices include all labor, new cam, any extras you want will be extra. Guaranteed Engines in South Amboy, NJ.

Welcome

That is with the shop doing it? That is $2000 cheaper than the cheapest place here in town. I can trailer mine to NJ for about $1000 and save a $1000.

Contact info please. :)

Yeah sorry about that, I should have posted the site. Harry's guaranteed engines is great... They did all sorts of work on my 67 mustang, complete rebuild, front end suspention work etc, etc... I actually did their logo, he found out I was a graphic designer and he wanted a logo and a bunch of vinyl stickers....
