Alright guys and gals. Here's my problem, I want to paint my jeep this summer. The first of many alterations to happen (hopefully). It's white now but I want to change the color to something darker. What color do you think the yj looks best in. Pics would be good too if u have them. Thanks a bunch all.

I like my new orange sunburst. I saw a YJ in a similar. very nice. 3L33TJ33P has a nice tan metallic color.

White is cool too.

But since you want to go dark... what's darker than black? Check out some of the cool rides in the sticky post in get chat for Rig of the Month.

Forest green is awesome too.

I'm a personal fan of black. Go check out my website for some ideas. Watch out for the pop-ups, though. I also like the olive drab green. What color is the interior? That could make a difference.

My buddy painted his CJ with dupli-color, color shift purple-to-green. I think he's got like 150-200 bucks in the paint job, but it sure is unique. We're in the process of painting a YJ with dupli-color anodized blue. What's done so far is looking pretty good.

New England Brown Mud is a beautiful color!! easy to apply and if you are not please with the coating, wash off and head back to the trail!

Apply Liberally!

There is a bunch of prety colors for Jeeps but for an off roader go with good ol rattle can camo! Never worry if that laural bush is going to scrape up the side of a fender again. Never worry that the jerk next to you is going to door ding you again. Never worry that the jeep sliden down the hill on it's sdie again,,,,, Well let me rethink that one hehehehe tug

ID LOVE TO SEE ANOTHER PURPLE YJ

Easter @ Moab....warning has pictures

I would also have to say camo. That's what color mine will be, once I get the time!!

a dark shade of green, silver/blue, or that gray that has a slight tint of green.

okay... camo is cool... but i like my red... (although my old 91 sahara's metallic olive sure was purty!!!! but camo will hide those "Carolina pin-stripes" youre sure to get and you wont cry so much about scratches when you can touch it up that easy!!!

A guy I work with painted his with an Olive Drab epoxy paint. He rolled it on with a roller. It left a rough, thick finish that looks tough as hell and will probably last forever. He painted everything from the rocker guards to the mirrors, but to each his own and like I said it does look really tough. Sorry I don't have any pics, it's not my Jeep and I really don't know the guy all that well.

I like the dark green. When you get mud on it, looks sort of camo, and the bush pinstripes look good mixed in too. Heres a pic...

...got a little to much mud on it for the desired camo look, sorry for the size.

Camo is not for everyone. If you are not going to be all out in the woods that much and do use it for you prime ride then it is not all that great. I know I will get blasted for this one but I do like a nice clean well dressed Jeep as much as I like a rough and tumble camo woods jeep. I would love to have a nice new TJ for the road and going to and fro all the places you just have to go. And a killer wild and wooly Camo half top with all the beels and whistles for the trail. Money is all that holds me back form being the Jeeper I want to be. hehehehe Ahhh Teenage sons and other finical drains past and present keep us humble! tug

Not too much longer Brother Tug :-D can see that grin get bigger every Birthday.
