Benchseat brackets

Hi guys! I'm having a heck of a time finding rear benchseat mounting brackets for my '75 CJ5. Anyone know of a place that I could get some?

As a side note,...it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE finding anything for my '75 CJ5. Everywhere I look, it cuts of at 1976 and goes up to 1986. Any clue as to why that is? What is it with finding stuff for 1975 and earlier?

Thanks!

i've been thinking about doing this in my yj. theirs just no room for passengers legs back there.

i believe they would have to be made... basically take something like this Ford Mustang Seat Brackets
then widen it and fasten it to the rear seat and tub. done deal

I see the brackets and seats quite often on ebay. Keep looking around. There's people in most areas that are hoarding old jeeps so that they don't go to the crusher. Craigslist is also a good place to check. Just watch out for spamers.

Not sure what kind of seat you're planning on using. The factory & replacement seats come with the brackets attached. They're actually part of the seat frame.
As far as not finding parts for your "75..."72-"75 were transition years for Jeep. The first AMC's...they share a lot of parts with the older CJ5s & some parts with the "76-"86 CJ5s. The body tub and frame changed in "76 so many parts changed at that point. You kind of have to know what you need & see which era it matches.

Thanks fella!

I bought a 36" rear bench seat off of eBay the other day. It just doesnt have the brackets.

Leg room, or lack thereof, is not of concern right now. It'll be for the kiddos as we drive around town when the top is off. They LOVE it!

I'll keep a look out on eBay as well as craigslist and see what pops up. THanks guys!

If this is a jeep rear seat that you bought and it doesn't have the mounts all on it, i'm going to assume that it's a fold and tumble seat. The mounts are easy to find. Two bolt to the floor and two bolt to the inner fenders.
