I am new here, and not sure of the routine for asking for help.
Heres my problem, first off the ride is a 87 wrangler it has a 2.5 with TBI. the problem is, driveing down the road it drives great, but when I slow down and make a right or a left turn then give it gas it sometimes cuts off, or will sputter and finally go on. I checked the Fuel pressure, and it is showing 15, [14 to 15 is the spec] I am getting ready to replace the fuel filter. Is there anything else I need to check?
Thanks in advance for any help.

fuel filter... fuel pump strainer...

ignition... cap rotor wires plugs

I had a similiar problem in another vehicle years ago. It turned out to be a wire which was melted by the engine heat grounding out on the motor which in turn caused it to misfire. Every time I turned right or hit a bump, the wire would hit the engine and ground out.

Fuel Filter. and welcome to the board. generally just ask a question, and we tend to respond. If no one knows the answer, generally, someone will eventually admit that they have no clue!

I had that jeep and it did the same thing but only when low on fule! Does yours do it all the time? If not the turn causes the fule to slosh to the side and it can not pick it up untill the fule levels back out a bit. Never did get mine to stop just started keeping the fule level up a bit. Hope this helps. tug
