Aircleaner problems

I have an 88 Wrangler and some how i am getting rust in the aircleaner. Can anyone help me?? Know where i can get a new aircleaner??

are you looking for just the filter, or the whole cleaner assembly? a filter can be bought at any parts store... the assembly would probably have to be a stealership/junkyard part

The whole assembly. Everytime i take the aricleaner off theres a little pile of rust at the bottom of the filter all the way around.

Wonder if POR-15 would help with that.

Just junk it and go with a aftermarket assembly like K&N.

I had the same thing happen. If you just replace the air cleaner it will still keep happening. One of you pulse air tube check valve is staying open. It is letting in water from the exhaust. One of the holes in the air cleaner should look rustier then the other. Follow the tube down the left side of the engine and there should be a silver check valve with a vacuum line to it. Make sure it is getting vacuum. But most likely it is rusted open.
