Don´t use it often, but Grandma appreciates it, when I take her, on her weekly shopping trip.
Question is, I don´t really know if the system has been changed to 134a or is still F-12. There is no apparent conversion tag. What is the easiest way, to tell if the conversion has been done?
The AC seesm to be functional, but doesn´t perform as good as it might. I´m thinking it´s probably a little low on freon. I´ve still got some R-12 stored in the garage.
88 XJ limited, with all the creature comforts. Real comfortable off roader.

look at the pressure connections on the high and low pressure lines. if the system has been converted to r-134, the connections will have quick-disconnect fittings screwed onto the original valve stems. if the system is still r-12, the connections should look like tire valve stems.[addsig]
