I just turned 89,000 on my 97 tj 2,5l now my air bag light flashes on and off. Is this one of those take it in for a safty check things or a real problem starting up????? :-? [addsig]

hehe its a timer! 5...4...3...2... Poof! Just kidding, usually whenever any saftey item 'idiot' light flashes, something isnt working right, wether abs, or airbag. probably should get it checked out. -JP [addsig]

Thats what I thought, But I remember a lot of honda's having there air bag light come on @ 60k or so And all we did at the dealership was hook it up to the computer and all would check out ok for a saftey check to ensure the idiot light would come on if there was a problem[addsig]

i was drivin over large piles of snow in my moms explorer and kinda hit one a lil hard and the air bag light came on and the car started chiming. so i drove it over to the dealer and the nice guy just hooked it up to a computer and re-set it for free. he said it was prolly cause it detected pressure from the impact on the bumper, but wasnt enough to set them off, which doesnt really make any sense, but hes the expert.[addsig]

First read owners manual thought I saw something in there about that airbags are triggered by how fast the vehicle slows not by impact.[addsig]
