Hi All,
New to this channel and new to owning a jeep. Just looking for some advice....
I bought my jeep used and had quite a few things done (aftermarket catalytic converter, exhaust, rebuilt transmission, etc.) After doing this work i took the jeep to a dealership in Yonkers because the check engine light kept coming on. There they said i would need to get rid of all aftermarket parts and they'd need to re-do the catalytic converter and exhaust to start.
Question: Are after market parts generally good and does anyone know a trusted mechanic or jeep shop here in NYC that's reliable?
Ultimately I want to do whats right for the jeep but don't want to get swindled either.
Appreciate you taking the time to read this!
