Time to give "Addiction" a little boost in performance!
The RIPP Supercharger system, along with RIPP long tube headers and Flowmaster "Hush Power" resonator exhaust system, arrived yesterday evening and will begin the installation today!
Be sure to install the air filter aluminum housing before installing the supercharger....as you can see in the following pictures there is not much wiggle room, enough not to be concerned about the sensor and spacing of the supercharger but not enough to manuever the canister install once the supercharger is mounted:
Intercooler is installed:
Drive belt is in place along with the supercharger securing bracket.
Air filter in place.....the yellow tag is connected to a plug bolt that will be removed in order to install a pressure release valve. The V3 superchargers are self-contained and this pressure release valve prevents too much pressure from building up in the oil case:
Stock exhaust heat shields trimmed and mounted to the RIPP Superchargers Long Tube Headers.....very little trimming and easy re-install:
Tightening the upper headers retaining bolts:
Still need to install the FlowMaster "Hush Power" Resonator, but for now everything else is complete. Everything functions exactly as it is designed with no error codes or warning lights!
The FlowMaster "Hush Power" Resonator is installed! Talk about a sound difference....With the Ripp Superchargers, long tube headers and Resonator, it sounds more like a V8 in it than a 3.8L V6!!
(And yes, the color zip ties have to go...ran out of black rerouting the rock light wiring).
